“I started my massage career in 2006 at Myotherapy school of massage in Lincoln, Ne. There I studied anatomy, physiology, and basic massage techniques. After massage school I immediately decided that I was going to have my own business. Owning my own business would give me the chance to learn many modalities, that I could use to help clients reach their individual goals. I incorporate thai massage, muscle release, deep tissue therapies, swedish massage, and even offer hot stones and salt scrubs. I love the freedoms of being able to help my clients however they need. I always make it my goal to send my clients away feeling good.”

Ever been curious how soap is made? This class might be just what you are looking for!

We will be demonstrating cold process soap making! This class will be outdoors right in front of the store! Should it be too cold/snowy we will try to reschedule it for November 24th during the day.

We will cover how to cautiously use lye and how to mix it with oils to become soap! We will use a couple of recipes to show the differences in how to work with oils such as Palm Kernnel, Coconut Oil, Shea Butter, Mango Butter, Olive Oil etc... We will also add some dried herbs in powder form to change colors and textures as well as adding essential oils for scent.

As we will be using lye please wear long sleaves, pants and closed toed shoes. The store will provide gloves and dust masks.

Fire Cider/Elderberry Syrup Class

October 17, 2017, 7:00pm - October 17, 2017, 8:00pm

Master tonic (a.k.a. Fire Cider) is a great preventative for colds/flu and helps you to get over them faster too!! It is filled with good for you things like Onions, which are high in Vitamin C, and they decrease inflammation as well as being an antioxidant! It also has Horseradish, and that’s got lots of good B vitamins as well as Vitamin C! And you just can’t have fire cider without Ginger! Ginger is antibacterial, antiviral and helps to reduce nausea & gas! These great things in conjunction with Garlic, Turmeric, Spicy Peppers, a few herbs and topped off with a vinegar! Traditionally Apple Cider Vinegar is used, but other vinegars such as Red Wine Vinegar could be used! It does have quite the bite, so it can be diluted with honey to help make it more palatable! You can even use it as a salad dressing! Elderberry Syrup has rose hips and elderberries combined to make a tasty syrup. It is high in Vitamins A & C, so it is used to treat flu/colds. It is also an antioxidant, antibacterial, antiviral, and anti-inflammatory! You will be able to sample Master tonic made with Apple Cider Vinegar and Elderberry syrup, as well as find out how to make these awesome immune boosters! Class is $10 on the day of class.
